MPA Mission Statement

• MPA will anticipate key safety, health and environment regulatory activities and trends involving the basic methacrylic monomers (methacrylic acid and the alkyl esters: specifically, methyl methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate, iso-butyl methacrylate, n-butyl methacrylate and ethylhexyl methacrylate) and provide data, as necessary, to support appropriate actions.
  
  
• MPA's primary focus will be on U.S.-based regulatory and product stewardship/product safety issues. MPA will track global regulatory trends and developments and will work with regional groups such as the CEFIC Methacrylates Sector Group.
  
  
• MPA will identify, develop and apply the technical and regulatory information and tools necessary to understand potential health and environmental effects of the basic methacrylic monomers, and communicate these as appropriate.
