Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is also made in beads or pellets that can be molded into many other end use products such as taillights and instrument clusters for cars and trucks. It is also used in windshields, sun visors, interior and exterior trim, lubrication/oil additives, automotive glazing and marine applications. In addition, PMMA resin is used to make lenses used on airport landing lights. PMMA is also manufactured in a casting or extrusion process to form shatter resistant sheets for bullet proof security barriers, bus shelters and many other applications.
